INTERACTIVE POWER POINT
The Power Point has proven to me to be a excellent learning tool in order to give the students the necessary technology for classes that do not have the Internet Facilities or Computers. It gives the students the ability to interact between each other at any moment during the presentation.
It allows the student to learn quickly and effectively developing their critical thinking and not get bored as in the traditional way of learning. That is why it is important that the Teacher prepares the Templates they must keep it simple and clear, use color but not too much. Every template should be short and clear so that they stay interested and do not get bored.
Another aspect I read was improving class discussions so that students can integrate in a group in order to share with each and the teacher their ideas in person or via e-mail. The Teacher should reinforce their efforts so that the student doesn’t lose hope and continues to try to do his best.
Students must become self motivated to accomplish his work and become committed to their work and efforts on their own and be responsible in order to construct their learning abilities to use what this technology is providing.

Hi Alex,
ReplyDeletePowerpoint is excellent to develop PBL activities. We can use it in the process and/or as a product. It is an excellent way to promote our students autonomy and, you're right, foster critical thinking skills. ;-)

Hello Alexandra,
ReplyDeletePower Point is very popular among teachers because it is simple, flexible, allows integrating media and printing slides, works offline, etc.Nevertheless there were some features like adding action buttons that I have not used before. In addition this week we learned different strategies to make it interactive and in this sense we can say that we refined and enhanced our proficiency.

Dear Alex! I agree with you that techniques that can be used with Interactive lectures will improve student critical thinking skills. Group work is a method that creates a positive atmosphere and a condition for students to share their ideas and work by cooperation and collaboration together. We could create PPT ourselves and it was so interesting in practicing and developing of computer skills. Discussion at the week was thoughtful and interesting! Thank you for the week! The best, Natalia
ReplyDeleteDear Alex,
ReplyDeletePowerpoint is not just a teacher skill. By making it interactive we need to develop students' skills too. As you said, it has the potential to develop critical thinking skills and interpersonal skills. Though I have been using Powerpoint for a long time, I learnt a lot from this week's readings and you colleagues.
